New work from Central Asia. Exterior wall of the Arman Cinema in Almaty, Kazakhstan

Following a recent trip to Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan) I have spent a couple of weeks sifting through the pics from my trusty, albeit ageing Canon EOS 350D.  In the last few days I have turned my attention to this little gem.  This is an exterior wall of the Soviet-era building that houses the Arman Cinema in central Almaty. I love these shapes carved into the wall and the strong blue element seemingly makes everything 'shine'. Cinema Exterior Wall.  Almaty Kazakhstan © All Images copyright Philip Mowbray
